Monsters Inc. is moving into the small screen world, with a TV show planned that will reunite Billy Crystal and John Goodman in the voice-acting booth. Here’s all the info…
Collider reports that the show, entitled Monsters At Work, is being planned for the upcoming Disney+ streaming service, which will serve as the Mouse House’s rival to Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime Video.
This is the plot summary, shared by Collider…
“Monsters at Work follows Tylor Tuskmon (voiced by Ben Feldman), an eager and talented young mechanic on the Monsters, Inc. Facilities Team (MIFT) who dreams of working his way up to the factory Laugh Floor to become a Jokester alongside his idols Mike and Sulley.”
Goodman and Crystal will reprise their roles as Sulley and Mike Wazowski, respectively, adding some Pixar credibility to this project, which is being managed by Disney Television Animation.
John Ratzenberger, Jennifer Tilly and Bob Peterson will also return from the original cast, alongside new talent that includes Kelly Marie Tran, Henry Winkler, Lucas Neff, Alanna Ubach, Aisha Tyler and Stephen Stanton.
Rob Gibbs, who served as a story artist on the original movie, will be one of the directors on the show. Bobs Gannaway will executive produce, and Ferrell Barron will produce. Kat Good is also among the directors.
