Variety reports that RKO Pictures plan to revive the character of Simon Templar, made famous by Roger Moore in the 1960s TV series, in a possible trilogy.

Created by Leslie Charteris in the 1928 book Enter the Tiger, The Saint was last seen on the big screen in Paramount’s 1997 version, starring Val Kilmer.

A TV remake was previously announced in September 2009. Starring Scottish actor Dougray Scott (Mission Impossible 2), the series was due to be shot in Vancouner but was never made.
