Olivia Colman (Broadchurch) and Julian Barratt (The Mighty Boosh) will star in Flowers, a pilot episode for a new Channel 4 comedy series.
Written by Will Sharpe (Black Pond), the 30-minute pilot will be produced by Kudos (Utopia, Spooks) and is not intended for transmission.
Flowers is described as “an imaginative and visually stunning narrative comedy about an eccentric family struggling to hold themselves together”.
The officail synopsis reads: “Maurice (author of children’s books The Grubbs) and Deborah (music teacher) are barely together but yet to divorce. They live with Maurice’s mother, Hattie, and their twenty five year old twins Amy and Donald in a creaky, messy, crumbling old house.”
Last week Channel 4 also announced the commission of another comedy pilot, Space Ark.
