The writer of Our Girl has revealed that it is “too early to say” if the army drama will return for a second season.

The first season concluded last night on BBC One.

Speaking as part of a Q&A with fans on Twitter after the episode aired, Our Girl creator Tony Grounds commented: “I’d love to see more Molly Dawes!”

Grounds previously revealed last week: “If we get a good turn-out on Sunday [for the finale], who knows, we might be able to persuade the BBC to let us make some more!”

Season 1 is released on DVD on Monday 3 November.
