The cast and crew of Peaky Blinders were filming a family get-together at the Black Country Museum near Dudley, yesterday, and it showed a little of what we can expect in season 4.
Two stories from The Birmingham Mail (here and here) published yesterday, showed pictures and footage of Cillian Murphy and other members of Peaky Blinders’ Shelby clan getting together for a family meal. This presumably means that they are now reunited after the events at the end of series 3.
The new series’ outline seems to hint that the family will need to unite to face a common enemy:
“When he receives a mysterious letter on Christmas Eve, Thomas Shelby realises that the Peaky Blinders are in danger of annihilation. As the enemy closes in, Shelby flees his country house and returns to the streets of Small Heath, Birmingham, where a desperate fight for survival begins.”
Anyway, whatever the reasons, here they all are…
Also on set, were new cast members Aidan Gillan (Game of Thrones) and Jack Rowan (Born To Kill).
You can see some of the footage of Gillan in the video below.
Also joining the cast for season 4 of Peaky Blinders will be Oscar winner Adrien Brody (The Pianist) and Charlie Murphy (Happy Valley, The Last Kingdom, Love/Hate).
Filming has been underway for a while in Liverpool. The team will be in Dudley until the end of the week, the Birmingham Mail reports, and the series is scheduled to wrap its shooting in July. It will return to our screens later in the year.
