It was announced last week that the Kaiser Chiefs singer will fill the fourth and final red chair as a coach on the reality show’s third series when it begins in January.
Wilson commented: “Who doesn’t want to spend their Saturday night with Kylie Minogue? I spent last winter yelling at The Voice, and both Sir Tom Jones and will.i.am were total superstars. I’m just lucky the Kaiser Chiefs have rubber stamped my temporary loan!”
Ladbrokes are anticipating the singer will make an instant impact and have him chalked up as the 3/1 second favourite to be 2014’s winning mentor.
Fellow newbie Kylie Minogue is the red-hot favourite with odds of 5/2, but despite leading inaugural winner Leanne Mitchell to victory, Sir Tom Jones is left to battle it out with Will.i.am as the 4/1 outsiders.
Separately, money is being invested in helping people deal with betting addiction and problem gambling.
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes commented: “Ricky’s not shy of an opinion or two and we’re expecting him to spice up The Voice. Kylie’s a certainty to be fighting off the contestants which easily secures her position as favourite.”
And if you’re already missing Jessie J on The Voice, tickets are available now for Jessie J’s upcoming tour.
