Series 2 is called Save Me Too…
Sky Atlantic has released a first proper look at Save Me series 2.
Stars Lennie James and Suranne Jones are both back for the second series – called Save Me Too – with James reprising his central role as Nelly Rowe, and Jones returning as his former lover, Claire. Stephen Graham, Thomas Coombes, Kerry Godliman, Nadine Marshall, Susan Lynch, Jason Flemyng and Lesley Manville also star. Series 1’s executive producers, Simon Heath and Jessica Sykes, have also continued their work behind the scenes.
It wasn’t too much of a surprise when Sky renewed Save Me, given that it was a genuine water cooler discussion point for the duration of its run.
In Save Me series 2, we pick up fourteen months after the events of season one, which saw Nelly left devastated after his desperate search for Jody was unsuccessful. He had been dragged into a dangerous underworld, taken risks that had proved precarious for himself and those closest to him and challenged Nelly to re-evaluate many of the decisions he had made about his life, all to find Jody. Now, fourteen months down the road, is he still looking? What hope is there of finding Jody? And if new evidence were to emerge, what would it force Nelly and those close to him to do next?
More soon.
