Starring Suranne Jones and Lesley Sharp, the police drama returns to ITV1 at 9pm on Monday 12th March with eight new episodes.

Maguire joins the cast in Series 2 as traffic cop Sean McCartney, an old flame of D.C. Rachel Bailey (Jones) who has just transferred back to Manchester from London and is keen to re-ignite their relationship.

The former EastEnders star reveals: “Sean is a really affable, likeable, charming guy. It’s really flattering that they’ve asked me to be a part of something that is already very popular and successful. It’s also nice to play a character that, hopefully, the audience would want to see Rachel with.”

Exploring the personal and professional lives of Rachel and Detective Constable Janet Scott (Sharp), Series 1 launched in May last year.
