Rupert Graves, who plays Lestrade in Sherlock, has been cast in the third series of BBC One’s Last Tango in Halifax.

Graves will play a new character named Gary Jackson and begins filming next week. We are first introduced to Gary on a date with Gillian (Nicola Walker), but is he all he seems?

Starring Derek Jacobi and Anne Reid as love struck septuagenarians Alan and Celia, the comedy-drama returns for six new episodes later this year.
