Having directed the Series 1 episodes ‘A Study In Pink’ and ‘The Great Game’, the Lucky Number Slevin helmer will be directing two episodes of the new three-part series.
McGuigan posted on Twitter this morning: “On my way to rehearsals with Benedict and Martin. Shoot starts Monday so I’ll be sending regular progress reports from the set.”
Yesterday he posted: “Read-through went great. [Mark Gatiss] has written another cracker!”
Earlier this month, the director also mentioned that he was “…very excited to start our new adventures” and had “found some great locations” for the series.
Sherlock‘s co-creator and writer Mark Gatiss revealed at the Kapow convention in London last month that Series 2 will feature adaptations of three of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s original stories – “a version of ‘A Scandal In Bohemia’, a version of ‘The Hound Of The Baskervilles’ and a version of ‘The Final Problem’.”
