Three new two-part Skins stories will air on E4 next spring, featuring Hannah Murray (Game of Thrones) as Cassie, Jack O’Connell (300: Rise of an Empire) as Cook and Kaya Scodelario (Wuthering Heights) as Effy.
Pulver and Novak will both guest star in Effy’s episodes, titled Skins Fire, reports Radio Times.
Written by series creators Bryan Elsley and Jamie Brittain with Jess Brittain, Series 7 see the classic characters now in their early twenties, “struggling to find a direction and a focus in unforgiving times”.
Novak is playing Effy’s boss at a London finance company where she is working as a receptionist, while Pulver’s character Vanessa is described as a “ball-breaking business bitch”.
Pulver commented: “It’s been fun for me to step into a very different style of TV show. But there’s actually kind of a parallel, as I’m joining Skins at a time when the show is also entering new territory, following these well-known and loved characters as they start the next chapter of their lives. Playing opposite Kaya has been a lot of fun. We’re both playing strong-minded, ambitious women who are in the midst of very different stages of their lives. This causes friction between them and yet they can’t help but find compassion and an ally in one another.”
