Teale told CultBox: “We were talking about how we’d love to have Frankie Boyle as Mini’s dad. We thought that’d be really funny.”

Red Dwarf star Clare Grogan recently guest starred as Mini’s mum in Episode 3, while previous comedians to appear in the show include John Bishop, Bill Bailey, Sally Phillips (Smack The Pony), Harry Enfield and Alistair McGowan.

Asked who he’d like to play his character’s mother in Series 6, Teale joked: “You know, obviously you’d like Jessica Alba to play your 40-year-old mother or, I mean, I wouldn’t object if Salma Hayek joined for a few days!”

Episode 5 of the current series, focusing on the character of Nick, airs at 10pm tonight on E4.
