Kylo Ren has popped in the new Star Wars Resistance season 2 trailer, and we’ve also learned that this will be the final season of Disney XD’s latest animated Star Wars spinoff…

The show, set around the time of the sequel trilogy of films, was created by The Clone Wars and Rebels alum Dave Filoni. This second and final season will see the show catching up to the events of The Rise Of Skywalker, which is the final movie in the current trilogy.

And here’s the official synopsis: “The story picks up after a harrowing escape from the First Order, as the Colossus and all its residents find themselves lost in space, pursued by Agent Tierny and Commander Pyre. Kaz and team also face a myriad of new dangers along the way including bounty hunters, a suspicious Hutt, General Hux and Supreme Leader Kylo Ren. Meanwhile, Tam grapples with her future and where her true allegiance lies, with her friends or the First Order. The thrilling final season will showcase how the unlikeliest of heroes can help spark hope across the galaxy.”

Also, the American Star Wars Resistance season 2 release date has been set for Sunday 6th October – that first episode will air on Disney Channel, and the rest of the episodes will air on Disney XD. We don’t yet know the exact UK air date, but we’ll keep you posted as we hear more…
