Netflix’s The Crown series has found its Princess Diana actress, with Emma Corrin signing up for the part. Here’s everything we know…
Corrin’s Lady Di will join the cast of The Crown in season 4, along with Gillian Anderson’s Margaret Thatcher.
Given that the third season of the show – which will feature Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth and Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret – hasn’t premiered yet, we’ll have to wait quite a while before we see Corrin and Anderson in their role.
Corrin, who previously appeared in Grantchester and has an upcoming role in Misbehaviour, said this about her casting in The Crown:
“I have been glued to the show and to think I’m now joining this incredibly talented acting family is surreal. Princess Diana was an icon and her effect on the world remains profound and inspiring. To explore her through Peter Morgan’s writing is the most exceptional opportunity and I will strive to do her justice!”
This is the Instagram post that Corrin shared to break the news…
