At long last, we can share a piece of news that we’ve been hoping to hear for months: The End Of The F***ing World has been picked up for a second season by Channel 4 and Netflix, with stars Alex Lawther and Jessica Barden set to return along with the show’s writer Charlie Covell.
Netflix shared the news on its ‘See What’s Next’ Twitter account, with a Tweet so deadpan and lacking in enthusiasm that James and Alyssa would be proud:

The Hollywood Reporter shared this statement from Ian Kat, director of programs at Channel 4:
“Lurching between black and joyous, The End of The F***ing World was one of the most original and beguiling pieces of drama to emerge from Britain in years. I’m so proud that Channel 4 brought it to the screen and beyond excited that Charlie and the brilliant team at Clerkenwell [Films] are giving us a second helping.”
The End Of The F***ing World season 1 was based on a comic of the same name by Charles Forsman. Season 2 will overtake the comics, with Charlie Covell continuing to take inspiration from Forsman’s characters and writing.
We’ll keep you posted as we hear more.
