Gillian Anderson will return as Detective Superintendent Stella Gibson, alongside Jamie Dornan as serial killer Paul Spector.

The psychological thriller series launched on BBC Two last May and was the channel’s biggest drama series in eight years with an average audience of 3.5 million and 15.4% share.

Series 2 will shoot for four months, reports Belfast Telegraph, and will reportedly comprise of six episodes – one more episode than Series 1.

Dornan is currently filming the Fifty Shades Of Grey movie in Vancouver.
