Created by Abi Morgan, the 1950s newsroom drama launched on BBC Two in July 2011, starring Dominic West, Romola Garai and Ben Whishaw.
The BBC stated: “We loved the show but have to make hard choices to bring new shows through.”
Series 2 aired in November and December last year with ratings under 1.5m.
