Amazon has released the first look at The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season 2, with a short teaser trailer whetting our appetite for the Golden Globe-winning stand-up show’s sophomore season.

The second season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel will run for 8 episodes, completing the show’s original order from Amazon. The streaming service/retail giant initially asked for 16 episodes, and this season will bring us up to that number. The shows fans will be hoping that a third season is ordered sooner rather than later.

If you’re unfamiliar with the show, Amazon sums up the basic premise thusly:

“In 1958 New York, Midge Maisel’s life is on track- husband, kids, and elegant Yom Kippur dinners in their Upper West Side apartment. But when her life takes a surprise turn, she has to quickly decide what else she’s good at – and going from housewife to stand-up comic is a wild choice to everyone but her. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is written and directed by Amy Sherman-Palladino (Gilmore Girls).”
