The childrens’ television archives are being raided once more, and this time, it’s The Moomins who are set to return to our screens. Once again using the Tove Jansson stories as their source, the new series of Moomins is heading to our screens in the spring of 2019.
The show is being made by Finnish company Gutsy Animations, and it’s unclear as of yet just which British broadcaster will pick it up. However, given the starry nature of the cast that’s on board, there’s little doubt that someone’s going to snap the show up.
Amongst the names involved this time? Kate Winslet, Rosamund Pike, Taron Egerton, Matt Berry, Richard Ayoade, Warwick Davis, Will Self and Akiya Henry.
We’ll keep you posted as things develop. It’s likely to be a while before we hear too much more about the project, though…
