The unsettling miniseries will arrive on Sky Atlantic in September…
Jude Law – who plays John Watson in the Robert Downey Jnr Sherlock Holmes films and Albus Dumbledore in the Fantastic Beasts franchise – is set to return to the small screen once again, following his stellar turn in The Young Pope and The New Pope, for a brand-new miniseries called The Third Day. The series will consist of six episodes and Sky Atlantic was originally set to start airing them on 12th May, however, The Third Day will now get underway on Tuesday September 15th, it’s been confirmed.
Law stars as Sam, who after being drawn to a mysterious island off the British Coast, is thrown into the unusual world of its secretive inhabitants. Isolated from the mainland, the rituals of the island begin to overwhelm him, and he is confronted by a trauma from his past. As the line between reality and fantasy blurs, Sam finds himself immersed in an emotional quest which puts him at odds with the islanders and begins to threaten their way of life.
