The upcoming Titans TV series is a gritty live-action rendering of the Teen Titans comics, and it is set to be the first major original release on the newly-launched DC Universe streaming service. Ahead of the show’s release next month, some Robin-stuffed promo materials have been released.
Brenton Thwaites will play the original Robin, Dick Grayson, in the show. Curran Walters will play Jason Todd, who replaced Dick in Batman’s sidekick role after Dick vacated the Batcave for pastures new.

And this clip, which teases “that awkward moment when you meet your replacement”:

The main narrative thrust of the series will see Dick starting a new super-team, the eponymous Titans, with some other crime-fighting youngsters. It remains to be seen what part Jason Todd will have to play in proceedings.
Titans season 1 will consist of 12 episodes, and it will arrive on DC Universe on October 12th. Sadly, at the time of writing, DC Universe is only available in the USA and no plans have been announced for Titans to have a UK release.
We’ll keep you posted as we hear more.
