True Detective is all set to return for its third season, after a bit of a gap between episodes. True Detective season 3 has Mahershala Ali and Stephen Dorff as its central crime-fighting duo, and a new trailer is doing the rounds right now.
Borrowing a trick from True Detective season 1, the new season promises plenty of jumps between past and present, as Ali’s character tries to get to grips with earlier moments in his life whilst also solving a crime in the here and now.
Without further ado, though, here’s the brand new True Detective season 3 trailer…
And here’s the trailer that came before it…
And here’s a tiny little synopsis, which doesn’t really give much away, to go with it…
“From Creator and Executive Producer Nic Pizzolatto and starring Academy Award Winner Mahershala Ali, Stephen Dorff, Carmen Ejogo; the third season sees detectives investigating a grisly crime involving two missing children in the heart of the Ozarks.”
We also know that True Detective season 3 will kick off on HBO, for American viewers, on January 13th 2019. We don’t yet have an exact date for Sky Atlantic’s UK premiere of the series, but it surely won’t be long until it’s announced.
As we hear more about True Detective season 3, we’ll be sure to let you know.
