A new nationwide poll has been commissioned to discover the nation’s favourite character in Game of Thrones.

Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) topped the poll, closely followed by Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow.

Jon Snow and Ygritte were voted viewers’ favourite couple, while the Starks are the nation’s favourite Game Of Thrones family and Season 1’s finale was voted the UK’s favourite episode so far.

Season 4 begins in the UK at 9pm on Monday 7 April on Sky Atlantic, airing less than 24 hours after it premieres in the US. Seasons 1-3 are available to watch from today On Demand, Sky Go and through the NOW TV Entertainment Month Pass.
