This deal is described as a long-term solution, which should mean that Virgin Media customers do not lose access to these channels again at any point in the near future.
If you’re wondering what caused this feud, the short answer is ‘money’. Virgin Media believed that UKTV was asking for “inflated prices” for its premium channels, but UKTV didn’t believe that Virgin Media was suggesting a fair alternative price. Thankfully, now, the disagreement is over and Virgin Media customers can get back to watching UKTV channels on their boxes.
