There’s talent and tension abound in the upcoming series for Channel 4, here’s what we know so far about I Am Helen:

The latest news shows production is well underway for the series, with first look images being released (inc. above) to give us a taste of the drama that’s to come.

What’s I Am Helen about?

The show will unapologetically delve into the tender experience of womanhood in a life shaped by masculinity. The story will peel back the layers of a relationship which has patterns and tendencies many of us have seen before. Examining and exploring the themes of toxic masculinity in contemporary relationships, there will be many emotional chords hit throughout the show’s run. The series will be part of the I Am anthology which has been running since 2019.

Who’s in it?

The show will be led by Nicola Coughlan (Derry Girls) and Joe Cole (Peaky Blinders), two powerhouses of the current acting scene. Further cast members are yet to be announced.

Who’s behind it?

Dominic Savage (Close To You) will be reprising his position as writer and director as he has been for previous installations of the I Am anthology.
