It’s not the safest trailer for work, but here’s the promo for BBC Two’s upcoming drama, Industry.

Heading to BBC Two and iPlayer this November is a brand new drama series by the name of Industry. It’s the work of first-time creators Mickey Down and Konrad Kay, telling the story of young graduates battling it out for a small number of jobs with a very posh bank.

Myha’la Herrold, Marisa Abela, Harry Lawtey, David Jonsson, Nabhaan Rizwan, Conor MacNeill, Freya Mavor, Will Tudor and Ken Leung lead the ensemble cast for this one, and the first trailer and official synopsis have arrived.

Here’s the trailer…

And we’ll leave you with the synopsis, that reads as follows…

The series follows a group of young graduates competing for a limited number of permanent positions at a leading international investment bank in London. Industry gives an insider’s view of the blackbox of ‘high finance’ through the eyes of an outsider – Harper Stern, a talented young woman from upstate New York. Fuelled by ambition, youth and romance, Industry examines issues of gender, race, class, and privilege in the workplace as five impressionable young minds begin to forge their identities within the pressure cooker environment and sensory blitz of Pierpoint & Co’s trading floor, where meritocracy is promised but hierarchy is king.
