Ink, a film about the family name that changed the media landscape as we know it will be making its way over to the streaming service.

After premiering at the Venice Film Festival, the feature from Danny Boyle (28 Days Later) was quickly picked up by streaming giant Netflix, recent updates have stated. Here’s a run down of all the information we have on it so far:

What’s Ink about?

The thriller is about the notorious Murdoch family, specifically about the germination of the reputation of the Murdoch family – a controversial presence in media that’s been both in the spotlight and in the shadows during the years of their domination over all forms of media across the globe. Adapted from the play written by James Graham (Dear England), the story follows a band of character who see themselves as both visionaries and outliers of the world of news, keen to change how print media is made.

Who’s in it?

The film’s cast has only partially been officially announced, the current list includes Guy Pearce (Memento), Jack O’Connell (28 Years Later) and Claire Foy (The Crown).

When’s it out?

Although no release date has been confirmed, the film will complete a theatrical run before heading over to streaming.
