Apple TV+ has released an official teaser for Invasion, its alien takeover series coming this October 22

The teaser video is accompanied by the following text:

Shamier Anderson, Golshifteh Farahani, Sam Neill, Firas Nassar, and Shioli Kutsuna star in this sci-fi drama that will make you question what you would do under extraterrestrial threat. Following multiple storylines across different continents, Invasion takes a global look at how one alien invasion would affect us all…

We do have to wonder just what the appetite is for a film about an all-devastating global threat, and suspect a lot of TV will be pandemic influenced for some years to come. The show is described by Deadline as:

One of Apple’s most ambitious original series to date, Invasion is designed to film in four locations on four continents: New York in the U.S. as well as UK (Manchester), Morocco and Japan.

Of course some of the series had been shot in New York and Morocco, and producers were prepping for the UK shoot when the coronavirus-related industry shutdown started in mid-March. Filming resumed under Covid-19 rules last August. The article also gives background on the characters.
