The stand-up and former Doctor Who star is getting a second series of his chat show.
Poor old Dan Lewis might have exited the TARDIS sharply at the start of the recent Doctor Who special, but actor John Bishop appears unaffected; the comic is returning to ITV for a second run of his Saturday night chat show.
The first series of The John Bishop Show ran earlier this year; mixing his stand-up and topical chat, John entertained celebrity guests from the worlds of film, TV, music and sport. They included Courteney Cox, Hugh Bonneville, Bill Bailey and James Nesbitt.
Now, ITV are ordering six further shows for the New Year. Additionally, they’re to be preceded by an irreverent look back at 2022 – The John Bishop End of Year Show.
John said:
“I was delighted with the response to the first series. It was great to give viewers a Saturday night show that offered an entertaining mix of comedy, interesting guests and topical discussion. I can’t wait to do another series. And before that, I’m really looking forward to my end of year show – but its been such a quiet year, I don’t know what I will talk about..!”
The John Bishop Show is co-produced by So Television, part of ITV Studios, and Lola TV for ITV.
