Incumbent 007 actor Daniel Craig has confirmed that the as-yet-untitled James Bond 25 will be his next movie project. So far, he’s appeared as the iconic spy in Casino Royale, Quantum Of Solace, Skyfall and Spectre.
At a charity event where an Aston Martin was being auctioned off for charity, Craig was asked whether Bond 25 is the next thing we’ll see him in. The actor offered a simple response: “Yeah.”
The interviewer then asked if Danny Boyle would be directing, which has been hotly rumoured, to which Craig said: “Oh, we’ll see. We’ll see.”
Craig, as you may already know, has made very blunt remarks about his James Bond commitments over the years. When he is on a press tour promoting a Bond film, he tends to downplay the chances that he’ll ever return to the role. Then a bit of time passes, and he returns to the role.
In this short video interview, it seems that Craig has come to terms with the fact that another Bond film is on his agenda. Although his answers were brief, he smiled as he gave them.
It remains to be seen exactly what the plot of Bond 25. The final scenes of Spectre seemed to leave Craig’s Bond with a happy ending, which presumably would have to go out the window for a sequel to make sense.
As we hear more, we’ll let you know.
