The book has special place in the hearts of many bookworms and literature-lovers in general. The BBC has joined the adaptation of one of the best known works from Charlotte Brontë. The newest release of information begins to peel back the curtain on the production and the people bringing it to life.

What’s Jane Eyre about?

In case you haven’t gotten round to reading it yet, the novel has earned the title of one of the most commonly known romance stories. The story explores the coming of age of the titular orphan within the difficult backdrop of England in the 19th century. The struggle for independence and equality underpin the protagonist’s humorous and witty approach to the world as she grapples with her own sexuality and identity. The adaptation was written by Miriam Battye (Succession).

Who’s in it?

 The announced cast includes Aimee Lou Wood (Sex Education), with more cast to be announced as production progresses. She has been confirmed to be taking on the main role of the series.
