The Originals and Vampire Diaries alum Joseph Morgan has been picked to lead the TV version of Dennis Lehane’s Gone Baby Gone.
Morgan will portray Patrick Kenzie, who was played by Casey Affleck in the film adaptation, while the casting for co-lead Angie Gennaro has not yet been revealed.
The Originals is about to wrap up its final season and so this news will be welcome to fans of the Welsh actor and his work on The CW. It goes without saying that this will be very different material.
Gone Baby Gone is just one of the novels in Lehane’s series, but it’s not yet clear whether the series will follow their trajectory or simply use Gone as a jumping off point for new stories.
