Posted Filed under

Keke Palmer has a new take on the Tom Hanks classic, The ‘Burbs, here’s what we know about the cast and the story so far:

What’s it about?

The new take on The ‘Burbs follows a new resident moving into “the safest town in America”, Hinkley Hills. Perfectly trimmed hedges, communal block parties and a seemingly benign HOA all appear to be hiding something. Samira and her husband move back into his childhood home to raise their newborn and it doesn’t take long for Samira to sense that all is not what it seems…

Who’s in it?

The lead role of Samira will be taken on by Keke Palmer (Nope). She’ll be joined by Jack Whitehall (Malice), Paula Pell (Wine Country), Julia Duffy (Newhart), Justin Kirk (Angels in America), Mark Proksch (What We Do in the Shadows), Chad Lindberg (Star Trek: Picard), Caroline Day (The Goldfinch), Evan Shafran (Fallout), Ian Bratschie (Shameless), Haley Joel Osment (The Sixth Sense) and many more.

Who’s behind it?

The series will be directed by Rachel Goldberg (Agatha All Along), Yana Gorskaya (What We Do in the Shadows) and Nzingha Stewart (Daisy Jones & The Six). There’s potential for more directors to be announced, as these directors are currently only credited with one episode each for the eight-part series. The series is created by Celeste Hughey (Dead to Me), with Palmer as one of the executive producers.
