Kathryn Hahn reprises her star turn as the witch Agatha Harkness for a new Disney+ series.
Updated 04/09/24: Agatha Harkness’ new coven comes together
As we creep towards Agatha All Along‘s September 18th premiere, Disney+ have released a few more teasers.
The first gives us an introductory scene in which the mysterious Teen (Joe Locke) and Agatha (Kathryn Hahn) to meet their fellow travellers Jennifer (Sasheer Zamata), Lilia (Patti LuPone) and Alice Wu-Gulliver (Ali Ahn).
The streamer, aware that the forthcoming show has its roots deep in 2021’s WandaVision series, has also provided a handy primer. Actor Kathryn Hahn and showrunner Jac Schaeffer rewind the previous show to pull out the salient details.
They also provide a handy “Meet the Witches” featurette too, helping viewers get to know the characters and their areas of expertise.
Along with the previously mentioned trio, we meet Debra Jo Rupp’s green witch Mrs Hart and Audrey Plaza’s terrifying Rio Vidal.
Agatha All Along begins on Wednesday, 18th September with two episodes. The remaining seven instalments drop weekly.
Agatha All Along – new trailer teases Joe Locke character mystery
Updated 30/08/24: Who is Joe Locke’s mysterious Teen in Agatha All Along?
With the show’s debut in under three weeks, Disney+ have dropped a 60 second tv spot for Agatha All Along. The show follows the witch Agatha Harkness after the events of WandaVision, which left her stripped of her powers and trapped inside a distorted spell by Wanda Maximoff.
The new trailer raises the question of just who Joe Locke is playing in the show. As he introduces himself as Agatha’s rescuer, and a fan, the Heartstopper star’s character appears magically unable to utter his own name…
Agatha All Along begins with a double episode premiere on Wednesday, 18th September.
Updated 12/08/24: Are you brave enough to walk the Witches’ Road with Agatha Harkness?
At the weekend’s D23 Expo fan event, Disney dropped the trailer for its latest live-action Marvel series.
Spinning out of the well-received WandaVision, the show picks up on Kathryn Hahn’s popular Agatha Harkness. Last seen bested by Wanda Maximoff as she became Scarlet Witch, she was left trapped in a distorted spell.
In Agatha All Along, she intends to gather a group and walk the Witches’ Road, with tests and challenges to overcome and the promise of glory at the end.
With a rich ensemble cast, including Heartstopper‘s Joe Locke, it looks like we can expect a scene stealing, fourth-wall breaking performance from Aubrey Plaza – playing Agatha at her own game.
Agatha All Along begins at Disney+ with a double episode premiere on Wednesday, 18th September 2024. The remaining seven episodes follow on weekly.

Agatha All Along – teaser trailer for Marvel’s WandaVision spin-off
Way back in the mists of time, or rather 2021, Kathryn Hahn literally stole the show in the entertaining WandaVision.
While we were obsessing over the meta-fictional breakdown of Wanda and the magically revived husband Vision in a series of different period sitcoms, the villainous Agatha Harkness hid in plain sight as the nosey neighbour Agnes. Eventually, she revealed her hand, shattering the fourth wall and memorably taking over the show!
Her own Agatha spin-off was promptly announced and, while it’s seemingly been through a couple of name changes – House of Harkness , Coven of Chaos, Darkhold Diaries and even The Lying Witch with Great Wardrobe (our favourite!) – the series seems to have finally settled on Agatha All Along. The name variations were later suggested to be part of Agatha’s devious shenanigans.
Agatha All Along
The 9-part show’s synopsis reads:
“In Agatha All Along, the infamous Agatha Harkness finds herself down and out of power after a suspicious goth Teen helps break her free from a distorted spell. Her interest is piqued when he begs her to take him on the legendary Witches’ Road, a magical gauntlet of trials that, if survived, rewards a witch with what they’re missing. Together, Agatha and this mysterious Teen pull together a desperate coven, and set off down, down, down The Road…”
Joining Kathryn Hahn are Joe Locke (Heartstopper) and Aubrey Plaza (Parks and Recreation). Plus, Sasheer Zamata (Exploding Kittens), Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, Paul Adelstein, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Okwui Okpokwasili, Debra Jo Rupp and Patti LuPone.
Wandavision’s Jac Schaeffer is the creator and showrunner, and she also directs the first episode. Rachel Goldberg and Gandja Montiero also direct.
Agatha All Along begins at Disney+ with a double episode premiere on Wednesday, 18th September 2024. The remaining seven episodes land weekly, with the finale on November 6th.
