Filming has wrapped on Locke and Key season 2 and Netflix has announced there will be a season 3
Locke and Key is one of an ever-growing group of Netflix shows based on a comic book. It came to Netflix in February 2020, and scored well with both critics and audience (Rotten Tomatoes scores of 66% and 68% respectively). More important is viewing figures, with the show ranking in the Netflix Top 10 streaming shows several times.
Filming has complete on season 2, with a view to airing sometime in 2021, and Netflix has handed an immediate renewal for season 3 — good news for fans.
The show is based on the comic book series by Joe Hill and Gabrielle Rodriguez. After their father is murdered under mysterious circumstances, the three Locke siblings and their mother move into their ancestral home, Keyhouse, which they discover is full of magical keys that may be connected to their father’s death. As the Locke children explore the different keys and their unique powers, a mysterious demon awakens — and will stop at nothing to steal them.
