Netflix will stream the fifth season in two blocks…
Lucifer season 5 has yet to bow on Netflix, but a release date for the first block of eight episodes has been set for August 21st, and a trailer has finally arrived to tease what’s in store.
See it below…
And here’s an official synopsis for season 5, courtesy of Netflix:
“In the stunning fifth season of Lucifer, the stakes are higher than ever. Secrets will be revealed, beloved characters will die, and we’ll finally get an answer to the question, ‘will they or won’t they?’”
Season 6 is going ahead at Netflix after the streamer previously revealed that season 5 would be the show’s last. A contract with the series’ star, Tom Ellis, was finalised in May of this year after extensive talks. Reports from behind the scenes of the negotiations hinted that Ellis was asking for a hell of a pay rise to do one more season. Presumably, he got it!
