Neil Gaiman inks new deal with Amazon Studios

Author, screenwriter and multihyphenate Neil Gaiman is continuing his relationship with Amazon Studios, striking a new deal that gives the streaming service exclusive content…

The exclusive deal will see the writer generate content for Amazon that’ll be distributed in over 200 countries and territories worldwide. Gaiman’s deal comes ahead of his hotly-anticipated new series, Good Omens, adapted from the book he co-wrote with the late Sir Terry Pratchett, which is set to air next year.

Gaiman’s TV slate is bustling right now – aside from Good Omens, the writer has the second season of American Gods bowing on Starz next year and earlier this year he signed a deal with Fremantle North America to adapt his novel, Gormenghast for TV.

For Amazon Studios this isn’t the first high-profile creator deal they’ve inked – Gaiman follows Get Out director Jordan Peele, The Handmaid’s Tale director Reed Morano, Catastrophe creator Sharon Horgan and Game of Thrones‘ Bryan Cogman.

We’ll pass on news of Gaiman’s future projects as and when we receive it.
