Orange Is The New Black season 7 will be the show’s final run, Netflix has confirmed. And now we’ve got a trailer and a premiere date for these final episodes…

Orange Is The New Black first launched in 2013, becoming one of the first Netflix Original Series to be a massive smash hit. The first few seasons were such a success that Netflix opted to order seasons 5, 6 and 7 all at once.

It has long been rumoured that this trilogy of seasons would bring the series to an end, and now we know that this is definitely the case.

Here’s the trailer, which confirms that this last batch of episodes will arrive on Netflix on 26 July…

Also, here’s the video of the cast announcing that Orange Is The New Black will end with season 7. Prepare to get emotional if you’re a big fan of the show.

The video, which features so many familiar faces, ends by telling us that the final season of Orange Is The New Black will air in 2019. New seasons of the show generally arrive in June or July, so we’re expecting something similar – in terms of a release date – for this final chunk of episodes.

The show’s creator, Jenji Kohan, said this to Deadline:

“After seven seasons, it’s time to be released from prison. I will miss all the badass ladies of Litchfield and the incredible crew we’ve worked with. My heart is orange but fade to black.”

That release date again, for the final season of Orange Is The New Black, is 26 July.
