Outlander heads for Revolution as the show returns early 2022 for season 6
After what seems a long wait, we’ve news a-plenty about Outlander season 6 (thanks to New York Comic Con) as a new trailer shows the series heads towards a certain Revolution [which is heavily capitalised for some reason!]
There are some new images and also a trailer to enjoy — and as soon becomes clear, change is afoot as British Goods are not to be traded and (if you’re from the future) you know war is coming. Entertainment Weekly has posted about the trailer, and it’s worth reading if you want some insight into how events might impact all the major characters (and the newer ones). The trailer shows
Claire (Caitríona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) watching someone nail a sign to a post telling locals to “refuse British goods,” before a group of redcoats descend on their home.
“It’s starting,” Claire tells her husband. “The storm, the war, it’s almost here.”
Of course it’s not only about history (and it’s impact on people) but also a chance to see how the characters themselves interact. The series is based on A Breath of Snow and Ashes, the sixth of Diane Gabbalon’s novels.
While we know the show is back early next year (and season 7 is happening) we’d like a little more precision. Early January would be great, and we can’t see it being later than February. We’ll let you know!
