Outlander stars Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish are taking a little road trip together…

Outlander fans will be thrilled to learn that they’re in for a mini treat while they suffer through another pesky Doughtlander. Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish, who play Jamie Fraser and Dougal Mackenzie on the hit time-travelling series, have created a new docuseries that will take viewers on a journey through Scotland’s historical sites, especially ones that have featured heavily in Outlander, like Glencoe and the Culloden battlefield.

Men in Kilts: A Roadtrip with Sam and Graham will consist of eight half-hour episodes. It looks like it will be available on Amazon Prime Video here in the UK, but a release date has yet to be confirmed for the series.

“The genuine curiosity and passion that Sam and Graham have for the landscapes they visit and the stories they uncover while travelling through the heart of Scotland makes Men in Kilts: A Roadtrip with Sam and Graham a truly enjoyable journey of discovery for the audience,” said Christina Davis, President of Original Programming at Starz, in a statement. “The series gives context and texture to Highland life and history, woven together, much like the tartan for which Scotland is so famous, and we look forward to taking this road trip with these two great friends.”

“We are so excited to take viewers on this epic adventure with Sam and Graham. Their bond of friendship and genuine curiosity about the rich culture of Scotland is going to make for an unforgettable journey for all,” said Holly Jacobs, Executive Vice President of Alternative and Syndication Programming at Sony Pictures Television.
