The streaming service will play host to the Byrdes and their problems again…
Ozark will end on Netflix with an extended fourth and final season, it’s been announced. The final 14 episodes of the popular series will stream in two seven-episode parts, but it will be a while until we get a look at them – production has not yet begun on the end of the show. The main Ozark cast will return for season 4, however, including Jason Bateman, Laura Linney and Julia Garner, Sofia Hublitz, Skylar Gaertner, Charlie Tahan and Lisa Emery.
“We’re so happy Netflix recognised the importance of giving Ozark more time to end the Byrdes’ saga right. It’s been such a great adventure for all of us — both on screen and off — so we’re thrilled to get the chance to bring it home in the most fulfilling way possible,” said showrunner Chris Mundy in a statement about the expanded fourth season.
“A super sized season means super sized problems for the Byrdes. I’m excited to end with a bang(s),” said Bateman.
Netflix’s Cindy Holland added “Ozark is a gripping drama that has captivated audiences all around the world and garnered tremendous critical acclaim. We’re so grateful to Chris, Jason, Laura, Julia and the entire cast and crew for all their tireless dedication to the show, and can’t wait to see how the Byrdes’ journey comes to a close.”
