Series four of Peaky Blinders has now finished filming, and it’s being edited together ahead of its expected premiere in early 2018.
Murphy is currently appearing in Christopher Nolan’s new film, Dunkirk, and whilst doing publicity for that, has inevitably faced some Peaky Blinders questions. He’s playing things close to his chest of course. That said, he told the Metro to expect “lots of surprises” in the new series, adding that “I think it’s the best one yet”.
Separately, Murphy has praised the casting of Aidan Gillen in series 4, noting that “I’ve admired his work for years”. Once again, though, he said “I can tell you nothing about what he’s doing in Peaky Blinders unfortunately, but he’s brilliant in the show”.
