The anthology takes place in the Predator universe and comes from the director of Prey.
Disney+ have announced a new Predator tale which sets the alien hunters up against fierce earthbound killers.
The three opponents are a Viking raider guiding her young son on a bloody quest for revenge, a ninja in feudal Japan who turns against his Samurai brother in a brutal battle for succession and a WWII pilot who takes to the sky to investigate an otherworldly threat to the Allied cause.
The film comes from Dan Trachtenberg, director of 2022’s well-received Prey. Josh Wassung, from animation company The Third Floor, serves as co-director.
The voice cast includes Lindsay LaVanchy, Louis Ozawa Changchien, Rick Gonzalez and Michael Biehn.
It’s the company’s first fully animated film, and one they describe as a “bloody visceral thrill ride”, as the first look trailer shows.
Predator: Killer of Killers streams on Disney+ from June 6, 2025 (or on Hulu in the US).
Predator: Badlands
Killer of Killers is not the only Predator project in the pipeline. Dan Trachtenberg has also directed the forthcoming Predator: Badlands, a live-action movie starring Elle Fanning.
Here’s the premise:
In the future on a remote planet, a young Predator, outcast from his clan, finds an unlikely ally in Thia and embarks on a treacherous journey in search of the ultimate adversary.
There’s no official trailer yet, although attendees at the recent CinemaCon enjoyed a sneak peak, according to coverage by Space.com. There are, however, multiple “concept trailers” on youtube which seem keen to suggest Arnold Schwarzenegger is in the film. As far as we’re aware, he’s not – although it may feature multiple Elle Fannings as Dan Trachtenberg teased to Empire:
“She faced intense challenges on this movie — dramatically, physically, logistically.”
The film is getting a US and UK cinema release on November 7th, 2025.
