The future isn’t so bright in the dystopian horror show…
HBO Max’s latest sci-fi endeavour Raised by Wolves has been renewed for a second season, it’s been officially confirmed. The series has been executive produced by Alien director Ridley Scott, and has done well despite some mixed reviews overall.
“This chart-topping series beautifully weaves together Ridley’s hallmarks of sci-fi and horror while offering fans one of the most original storylines they’ve seen in some time,” said Sarah Aubrey, head of HBO Max. “I can’t wait to see what’s in store for season two.”
Starring Vikings icon Travis Fimmel, Amanda Collin, Abubakar Salim, Winta McGrath and Niamh Algar, Raised by Wolves paints a grim and disturbing vision of a mysterious planet where all is not as it seems.
Written and created for the HBO Max streaming service by Aaron Guzikowski, the show centres on two androids — Father and Mother — tasked with raising human children on the planet after the Earth was destroyed. As the burgeoning colony of humans threatens to be torn apart by religious differences, the androids learn that controlling the beliefs of humans is a treacherous and difficult task.
