ABC (Australia) reveals the Return to Paradise season 3 trailer and (local) date

Welcome back to Dolphin Cove!

What do we know about Return to Paradise season 3

The trailer (see below) comes with some useful insight for the next season (which started filming in May). It tells us:

Detective Sergeant Mackenzie Clarke (Ana Samson) is back, fresh from having wrecked another of Glenn’s (Tai Hara) weddings. She’s drawing a line under the Glenn affair, closing the door on romance.

Dolphin Cove is still heaven on earth, and it still serves up a steady stream of murders – from the artist stabbed in full view of the public, to the wildlife worker dead in a locked cassowary cage. Mack will solve it all with her usual brilliance, and the off-beat help of her loyal team.

But, away from the police station, things are a lot less straightforward for Mackenzie – her force-of-nature mother will return, the handsome new pathologist will become very interested in our out-of-kilter detective, and newly-single Glenn will return to the Cove. Mack will face an unsolvable case each week – but the most impossible mystery she’ll face will be the workings of her own heart.

Other returning cast include Lloyd Griffith as Colin Cartwright, Catherine McClements as Philomena Strong, Celia Ireland as Reggie Rocco and Aaron McGrath as Felix Wilkinson. Our earlier piece has details of new and guest cast, and since we last reported the return of Mack’s mother looks set to add some interesting new tensions to Dolphin Cove.

Enjoy the trailer!
