Scooby Doo live action cast announced

Netflix is trying its hand at a live action serialised adaptation of Scooby Doo, here’s what we know about it so far:

The gang is back and ready to solve mysteries and get chased around large, abandoned houses by monsters as Netflix has decided its time to take the franchise back to live action. Recent news about the series has revealed more about the plot and cast of the new take on a classic.

What’s Scooby Doo: Origins about?

The series will give us the characters we’re all so familiar with, and as the titles suggests – we’re going to get a look at what brought the gang together in the first place. The story takes place at a summer camp, their final one before they set out into the world of young adulthood. The group get brought together over a lost great dane puppy and what they believe to be a supernatural murder case.

Who’s in it?

The cast will include Mckenna Grace (The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping), Tanner Hagen (The Pitt), Abby Ryder Fortson (Are You There God? It’s Me Margaret.), Maxwell Jenkins (Lost in Space), the group will take on the roles as the younger versions of the beloved members of the mystery solving gang.

Paul Walter Hauser (Black Bird), Rusty Schwimmer (The Righteous Gemstones), Peter Macon (Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes), Maxwell Simkins (Shifting Gears), Jona Xiao (The Pitt), Dani Deetté (The Runarounds), Elysée Sanvillé (72 Hours), Alex Isles (Normal with a Capital N), Avery Kristen Pohl (General Hospital), Pamela Mitchell (1883), Ross Kimball (Jury Duty), Sara Gilbert (The Conners) ,Wynn Everett (Chad Powers), Sauriyan Sapkota (The Midnight Club), Bruce McGill (Lioness) and Sherilyn Fenn (Twin Peaks) will also be starring.
