The Shang Chi star will go in search of an ancient mystery linked to the Seven Wonders of the World.
Having leapt off the small screen, from the Canadian sitcom Kim’s Convenience to the title role in Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Simu Liu is having quite the career.
Now however, according to Deadline, he’s heading back to television. Liu is taking the lead role of Dr. Nate Grady, the botanist and adventurer at the heart of Seven Wonders. The show is an adaptation of Ben Mezrich’s book of the same name for Prime TV.
Seven Wonders sees Grady teaming up with the slippery international fixer Sloane Seydoux. Together, they begin a breathless race to solve an ancient mystery tied to the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
The project’s writer is Adam Cozad (The Legend of Tarzan) and the director is Justin Lin (Star Trek Beyond, F9). It’s being made by Lin’s Perfect Storm Entertainment, Beau Flynn’s Flynn Picture Company and Universal Television.
Simu Liu also executive produces, along with Cozad. Lin, Salvador Gatdula and Andrew Schneider for Perfect Storm, with Flynn via Flynn Picture Company.
We’ll keep you posted on Seven Wonders as the production develops.
