Thanks to Geeked Week Day 1, we hear the news of Shadow and Bone renewed, and also get the leading viewing figures

We knew it had topped the Nielsens, but we also knew it had faded slightly. What we now know (thanks to the @NetflixGeeked Twitter account) is the first 28 days were a rather impressive 55 million households! So, no surprise. Shadow and Bone renewed.

If you’ve not tried the show, you can watch the first season now on Netflix. It’s far too earlier to know season 2 might come to streaming, but you might get more news if you follow the series official Twitter account. There’s even a special Netflix site for the show (Beyond the Fold), though it doesn’t have any news area. From the announcement video it seems as if the core cast are all returning, though that’s not much of a surprise given the storylines so far and the quality of the performances.
