Get ready for The Beast of Mossy Bottom in 2026.
Spinning out of Wallace and Gromit: A Close Shave 30 years ago, Shaun the Sheep is one of Aardman’s other enduring success stories.
The mischievous woolly adventures of Shaun, Timmy and the flock have stretched through six series of stop-motion antics. A seventh is due to air this year. They’ve also enjoyed two big screen outings: Shaun the Sheep Movie (2015) and Farmageddon (2019).

Now, Aardman has confirmed that Shaun will return for a third theatrical outing. Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom is now in production as a Sky Original feature film.
Here’s what to expect…
Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom sees the residents of Mossy Bottom Farm looking forward to Halloween – until the clumsy Farmer trashes the Flock’s beloved pumpkin patch! When Shaun turns MAD SCIENTIST to fix the problem, things rapidly spiral out of control… With The Farmer missing and a wild beast roaming the woods of Mossingham, all the ingredients are in place for a monstrously fun family adventure.
The movie will enjoy a UK theatrical release as well as airing on Sky Cinema. Internationally, they’ve partnered with STUDIOCANAL.
The film comes from writers Mark Burton (Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl) and Giles Pilbrow (Horrible Histories). The directors are Steve Cox (Shaun the Sheep: The Flight Before Christmas) and Matthew Walker (Lloyd of the Flies), with Richard Beek (Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl) producing. Nick Park, Peter Lord, Carla Shelley and Sarah Cox are Executive Producers.
We’ll keep you posted.
