The Flash will arrive a standard fortnight behind its US premiere date…

Sky One has set a 22nd October air date for the sixth season of The Flash. The series continues to perform well, even while The CW’s flagship DC show, Arrow, finishes its run.

Season 6 will begin with the fallout from the season 5 finale, which aired earlier in the year:

“Barry (Grant Gustin) and Iris (Candice Patton) deal with the heartbreaking loss of their daughter, Nora, the team faces their greatest threat yet – one that threatens to destroy all of Central City. Meanwhile, Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker) has a brush with death that results in an unexpected new dynamic that will change her relationship with Caitlin forever.”
